"Bondo VS new "skin"?

I have a 85 monte carlo ss it has rust over rear wheel wells. I want to get it painted but of course I want the rust fixed first. should I just buy a new "skin" or use something like "bondo". I dont know anyone who welds or does any body work so im really just wondering with method works best, which will "last" longer and also some general prices. any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.

Depends on what level of repair you want. Are you going to keep the car? Do you want a premium job, or just a cover up?.

The best repair is body replacement panels. The worst is bondo. Somewhere in between are leading/fiberglassing/welding.

MY ADDVICE WOULD BE TO STAY AWAY FROM BONDO. THE OLDDER IT GETS THE BONDO WILL START CRACKING ON YOU. THE NEW SKIN IS THE BEST WAY BECAUSE OF THE RESALE VALUE ON THE CAR WHEATHER YOU KEEP THE CAR OR NOT.
