my face was sunburnt a while ago and my cheeks turned bright red for a few days, than it started to peel.,,, it looked like my face was healed .. but a few days later the redness will come back at the exact same spots.. and a few days later it would peel again...this happened a few times now.. and each time i made the mistake of peeling off the skin when it wasnt ready to be peeled off..this time i waited for it to peel on its on..now all the dead skin has peeled away but the new skin is still slightly red.. there are red tiny bumps in some areas so it feels irritated and itchy? it still feels like my face is hot at times.. i thought this was suppose to stop after the peeling? what is wrong and what can i do to make it better? will this go away.. and how long does it take for new skin to heal?
Why is the new layer of my skin red, irritated, there are tiny bumps and its itchy?
The bumps are probably irritation from being picked at so much. It will go away, but in the meantime try some aloe vera off the plant for relief. Give it a week or so and it should be much better.

go consult a doctor maybe its heat rash?
Reply:quit PICKING at it!
Reply:It might have to do with the heat. i would go to the doctor cuz they know better.
Reply:Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and use sunscreen with a sun protection facor of at least 15. Also use a good moiturising cream. Avoid further sunburn and if your skin condition does not quieten down in three weeks please cosult your family physician or a dermatalogist.
Reply:a sunburn doesnt just burn the top layer of your skin, it burns several layers! next time you peel off a piece, hold it up to the light. (sounds gross, i know) its transparent right? thats why several layers of your skin got burned. theyre just coming to the surface in their own time and peeling is well. your skin is itchy because it is dry, use aloe vera, and ALOT! and dont peel it! it will come off when its ready! hope this helps!
